The Junior Mechanical Assembly Technician is a full-time, on-site position at Krieger AG's headquarters in Muttenz (BL).

Working alongside experienced mechanical assemblers, engineers and automation specialists, you will support the assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of Krieger process equipment while developing the technical skills required to work with complex machines and systems.

This role is particularly suited to someone who has recently completed vocational or technical training and is looking to build a long-term career in mechanical assembly and pharmaceutical process equipment.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical assembly of Krieger machines, process equipment and components.

• Assemble components and subassemblies according to technical drawings and specifications.

• Install mechanical, pneumatic and process components alongside experienced team members.

• Assist with vessels, agitators, homogenizers, gearboxes, piping systems and machine frames.

• Perform fitting, alignment, adjustment and basic functional checks.

• Support machine testing and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) preparation.

• Assist with maintenance, repair and refurbishment of existing Krieger equipment.

• Support installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.

• Work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Quality and Service teams.

• Maintain accurate assembly and production documentation.

• Follow Krieger's quality, safety and applicable GMP-related procedures.

• Participate in technical training and continuously develop your mechanical and process knowledge.

Your Profile

• Completed or recently completed vocational or technical training in mechanics, polymechanics, machine assembly, industrial mechanics, mechatronics or a related field.

• Initial experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance or industrial machinery is an advantage, but not essential.

• Basic ability to read mechanical and technical drawings.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in complex machines and systems.

• Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn.

• Precise, reliable and quality-conscious way of working.

• Comfortable working as part of a technical team.

• Basic pneumatic or electrical knowledge is an advantage.

• German and/or English language skills, with a willingness to develop where necessary.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for installation, commissioning or service activities.

Previous GMP knowledge is not required and relevant training will be provided.
